What can this team do to get back in the higher-echelon of the NBA? Kobe is carrying the team. He's going to have a heart attack, working so hard under all that stress just to get the team a "W". Four straight games of over 50 points. He can't keep that up. LA needs Durant, or Oden, or BOTH! I know, fat chance on that, but they do need some of the topcollegehoops guys to get them back in the playoffs, and ultimately to win the finals! We might not even need anycollegeguys. We can go free agency. Just get some guys in there that can play, that have star power!

regards to free agency; it is hard to get another superstar here because of salary; kobe and odom are maxed out; Lakers can't afford another big time player...
i think lakers are young and can continue to improve; if bynum continues to progress, he should be a solid center for years to come; odom and kobe are still young... lakers will get better.

i dont think any GM is dumb enough to trade their picks if durant and oden come out. the only player that would do the trick is kobe and that aint happening.
Not a chance a GM will give up their picks. The only way is to trade or free agency.
no chance in hell at durant or oden but if dj augustine and acie law r available, maybe that pick might be worth a lamar odom or luke walton to some GMs
