Spurs vs. Lakers --- Spurs in 6

Boston vs. Detroit --- Detroit in 7

Detroit vs Spurs --- Spurs in 5

This may all change if the Boston Detroit game is a sweep then I might have to go with the winner of that game because Western Conference teams are just going to beat each other up.

The 2008 NBA champion will be a surprise winner like a team that did not make a blockbuster trade in either the preseason or during this current season.

Maybe in alphabetical order: Denver, Detroit, New Orleans, Utah. Golden State would be a long shot.

Don't know if Boston will stay healthy in the playoffs.

It will be hard for teams like Cleveland, Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Antonio to put together a team that can play together and which will play as one unit in thirty some odd games as Cleveland, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Phoenix have made blockbuster trades which will change their entire offense.

San Antonio only picked up a solid reserve while the Spurs have a slight chance of re-signing the injured Barry if someone hasn't already signed him. The Spurs cannot sign Barry for 4 more weeks which should allow him to totally heal and he would fit right back into the rotation as he was having a great first third of the season and a big key to the Spurs during the first half of the season.

If San Antonio loses one of their "Big 3" between now and the end of the season, San Antonio can very conceivably end up as the #8 seed in the West if they go into a tail spin, or, maybe not even make the playoffs at all as the West is stocked with many strong teams while the East (with the exception of Boston and Detroit) is weaker than ever particularly with the trades made in the past week.

I still think that the 2008 NBA champion will come from Denver, Detroit, New Orleans, or Utah.
I think it will be:

Lakers-New Orleans, Lakers in 5 or 6

Cleveland vs Boston- Cleveland in 6

Cleveland vs LA- La in 7, but i want Cleveland to win
West

Lakers vs Hornets ----Hornets might pull it off in 7games but Im going to put my money on Lakers for now, they have been very solid and their bench is also playing well

East

Same as last year

Detroit vs Cleveland---Cleveland will pull it off again thanks to the trade that allows them to spread the floor, and allows Lebron to drive the lane, Plus Wallace should know how to defend against Detroit and help the Cavs pull it off

Finals

Cavs vs Lakers----can go both ways, the games would be very exciting to watch...i want Cleveland to win but I think that Lakers are a better team at this point
Lakers win in 5 over New Orleans

Cleveland win in 6 over Boston

Lakers win in 6 over Cavs
Western Conference

LA Lakers vs. Houston Rockets

Eastern Conference

Boston Celtics vs. Detroit Pistons

NBA Finals

Houston Rockets vs. Detroit Pistons

Hornets vs. Lakers - Lakers in 5

Pistons vs. Celtics - Pistons in 6

Pistons vs. Lakers - Lakers in 6

Boston vs. Cleveland Boston in 6

Boston vs Lakers Boston in 7
spurs vs. lakers lakers in 6

WCF- Suns v. Lakers- suns in 5

ECF- Cleveland v. Detroit- Cleveland in 6

NBA- Suns v. Cleveland- Cleveland in 7
