Great deal and I do think that this in real life that trade would be possible to make but probably if the lakers are going to trade Kobe it would be by december or a little while before the trade deadline if:

Lakers get off to a bad start(which is nearly 100% gonna happen).

Mavs feel like they are a little behind from the top of the NBA(probably the 4th best team:Suns,Spurs,Celtics)and want to make that big push over those teams.

Only way Kobe doesn't go to Dallas is if Chi-town Blows the Lakers away with a even bigger deal(Deng,Kirk,ect.) but other than that Perfect deal.

No this is not an awesome trade, and you are not a real maverick fan. If you were a real maverick fan you would want our lineup that has worked so hard these past years to stay the same. They do not deserve to be traded for Kobe no matter what.
lakers might go for that one. i still say stick with what we got. young guys are coming along nicely. if you get a chance watch brandon bass play. he's a beast in the lane
I dont like it..Kobe is a legend in L.A.but know matter what Kobe will always be my favorite player.
yes, this is a really great trade, sure the mavs lose 2 starters, but they gain the best player in the western conference. they also gain a good backup in radmonivic and turiaf could eventually end up being pretty good. It make it so the mavs have the 2 best players in the western conference, which would make them even better than they already are.
im a huge mavs fan, and no it is not. our lineup is fine, we dont want kobe. Cuban stated last night " The MVP is untouchable, Dirk isnt going nowhere. besides, ur trade is taking too many players from dallas. and the lakers will not want terry and dampier. they said they want young players
